Côte d’Azur

The Côte d’Azur

The Côte d’Azur is the ideal destination for a diverse language study trip. The world-famous French Riviera perfectly combines learning the French language with sun, beach, sea, culture, and unforgettable experiences. The region offers a beautiful blend of deep-blue sea, bright sandy beaches, and picturesque palm trees. The pleasant, sunny climate keeps spirits high and energy levels up all year round. In cities like Nice, Cannes, or Antibes, there’s always something new to discover. The French markets, historic old towns, modern art museums, and cafés provide the perfect setting to practice the language in everyday life. After your language course, there’s time for a fun project program or a variety of leisure activities. Whether you’re relaxing on the beach, taking boat trips to the Îles de Lérins, or exploring the charming mountain villages in the hinterland—you’ll never get bored here. People from all over the world come to the Côte d’Azur to learn French and take advantage of the wonderful opportunity to make new friends and exchange ideas.

Cannes

The city is known worldwide for its famous film festival, but it has so much more to offer: Cannes is sunny, elegant, and full of life. The famous Croisette beach promenade invites you to take a stroll under the palm trees and offers views of the sea, exclusive hotels, and yachts. Le Suquet, the historic old town, is perched on a hill and offers a beautiful view of the entire city and the coastline. A boat trip to the unspoiled Îles de Lérins lets you swim in the clear waters and discover the islands’ history and natural beauty. Cannes has an excellent public transportation network that covers the entire Côte d’Azur and the hinterland, including Grasse, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, and other destinations.

Antibes

This charming coastal town perfectly blends historical culture with a lively Mediterranean atmosphere. The narrow, flower-lined alleys of the historic old town invite you to explore. At the traditional “Marché Provençal” market, you can experience the scents and specialties of the region, while the famous Picasso Museum attracts art lovers. The Cap d’Antibes offers beautiful hiking trails along the rocky coast. It is known for its stunning villas, hidden coves, and panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. Port Vauban, one of Europe’s largest marinas, impresses with its spectacular yachts and offers a fascinating contrast to the historic city walls. The fine sandy beaches of Antibes and the neighboring town of Juan-les-Pins offer the perfect setting for relaxation, water sports, and socializing. Antibes is well connected by train and bus to both the other cities of the Côte d’Azur and the surrounding countryside.

Nice

As the capital of the Côte d’Azur, this vibrant metropolis perfectly combines the charm of a major city with a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle. Here, learning French can be seamlessly integrated into a daily life filled with culture, energy, and diversity. The world-famous, kilometer-long Promenade des Anglais invites you to stroll or relax on the iconic blue chairs right by the azure-blue sea. The heart of the city beats in the narrow, colorful alleys of Vieux Nice. The daily market on the Cours Saleya, with its flowers, spices, and regional specialties like “socca,” offers the perfect opportunity to put the language into practice. Famous museums such as the Musée Matisse and the Musée Marc Chagall showcase masterpieces in a city that has always fascinated painters and thinkers. The Colline du Château, rising above the city’s rooftops, offers a refreshing waterfall and the most spectacular panoramic view of the entire bay and harbor. As the region’s largest city, Nice provides an endless array of recreational and cultural activities and, thanks to its excellent transportation links, is also the ideal starting point for exploring the entire Côte d’Azur.
