Collection and Processing of Personal Data:

When you visit our website solely for informational purposes—that is, if you do not otherwise provide us with personal data—the personal data that your browser transmits to our servers is collected for technical reasons. When you view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary to display the website to you and to ensure its stability and security (within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f), first sentence, of the GDPR), including traceability in the event of an error and sustainable error correction:

Web pages visited, date and time of access, amount of data transmitted in bytes, web page from which the request originated (source/link from which you accessed the page), browser used (including language and version), operating system used, IP address used.

Log files are created for this purpose. The data collected in this process is used to

  • monitoring to prevent and address unlawful use of the website's content,

  • to improve the website and

  • the statistical analyses.

To analyze website traffic statistics, we use the free web analytics software Advanced Web Statistics. You can find more information at http://www.advancedwebstats.com. This software analyzes the log files that the web server generates based on website visits. No cookies are used. The statistical analysis is based on log files that contain IP addresses, date and time, browser type and version, the computer’s operating system, and the website from which the request originated. The log files are automatically deleted from the server after 10 days; the data is anonymized and stored on this server in the form of anonymized web access statistics for the duration of the website’s operation. Unlike other analytics programs, the web analytics software Advanced Web Statistics does not use cookies and does not transmit any data to a third-party server. The software is installed on our own and leased servers located in Austria, and no data is transferred abroad. When the website is deleted from our servers, the anonymized data from the web analytics software is also automatically deleted.

Log files:

The web servers operated or leased by Internetkonzepte.at GmbH store log files that record visits to individual web pages, including the date, time, and the visitor's IP address. The log files are stored for 30 days and then deleted.

Cookies:

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the device you use to access the Internet and are associated with the browser you are using. To make the use of our websites more effective and user-friendly, cookies are stored on your device when you visit our websites, which may also provide us with information (depending on the cookie). However, cookies cannot run programs or transfer malware to your device.

Our website uses:

Transient cookies; these are automatically deleted when you close your browser or “log out.” These include, in particular, session cookies, which store a so-called session ID that allows various requests from your browser to be associated with the same session. As a result, your device or computer can be recognized when you revisit the website.

You can adjust your browser settings to control how cookies are used. For example, you can choose to reject third-party cookies or all cookies. However, doing so may also impair the functionality of the websites you visit.

Any additional personal information, such as your name, address, phone number, or email address, will not be collected unless you voluntarily and actively provide this information in the designated fields (e.g., when signing up for a newsletter, submitting an information request via a contact form, filling out other specific form fields, or completing login or registration forms on the respective website, etc.). The personal data you provide will be processed exclusively for the purpose of handling your matter or responding to your inquiry. As a general rule, this data will not be transferred to third parties (not mentioned herein).

Data Retention, Data Access, and Data Security:

Other individuals or companies not expressly mentioned in this Privacy Policy will not have access to your data.

Our website is hosted by a service provider that specializes in this area. Since we also rent servers from this service provider, the provider has the ability—which is contractually limited to the minimum technically necessary extent—to access the aforementioned data. These service providers are as follows:

They are therefore aware of the personal data collected to the extent described above, but are not authorized to use the data for their own purposes or to disclose it to third parties.

The personal data you provide or disclose is protected against unauthorized access through encrypted transmission, access-protected storage that is inaccessible from outside the system, and physical security measures for the servers. These security measures are continuously updated in line with technological advancements. Such measures include SSL encryption, regular software and hardware updates, continuous server monitoring, and backup management provided by our service provider, Internetkonzepte.at GmbH.

The physical security measures for protecting the data are implemented by our service provider, Internetkonzepte.at GmbH, and—unless they must remain discreet, described in abstract terms, or kept confidential to prevent third parties from exploiting vulnerabilities in the systems used—can be viewed here (URL).

Data (see above) that is stored as a result of your visit to our website will be retained by us and the service providers listed above for a maximum of 30 days—unless a more specific retention period is stated in other sections of this policy—and will then be automatically deleted.

Contact us via email, letter, phone, or fax:

When you contact us, the information you provide (name, address, phone number, email address, and, if applicable, case-specific details) will be stored so that we can answer your questions, promptly address your inquiry, and get back in touch with you. The data collected in this context will be deleted if no contract is concluded between us and as soon as storage is no longer necessary; alternatively, data processing will be limited to the minimum required by law if statutory retention periods apply. If a contract is concluded, the privacy policy included in the contract shall apply to data processing.

Data that you provide to us

  • as part of a newsletter sign-up or

  • by submitting an information request via the contact form or

  • through other specific form fields or sign-up or registration screens on the respective website

Data transmitted will be stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the respective purpose for which it was collected. The data collected in this context will be deleted as soon as storage is no longer necessary. If data processing continues, it will be limited to the minimum necessary, and storage will be reduced to the absolutely necessary duration. In the event that a contract is concluded, the privacy policy included in the contract shall apply to the processing of data.

Social media integration (social media plug-ins):

Our websites provide a connection to social networks using social media plug-ins. These plug-ins are initially disabled when you visit our websites and do not transmit any data to such services. Personal data is only transmitted to the selected service once you activate a plug-in by clicking the corresponding button (“2-click solution”). The selected service then receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on the plug-in while logged into the corresponding service, you can share the content of our pages on your profile. This allows the service to associate your visit to our websites with your user account. Please note that, as the website provider, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by the service.

By activating and using a social media plug-in, you consent to the associated transfer of personal data to the selected service. For more information on how your personal data is used, please refer to the privacy policy of the selected service:

Use of Google Analytics:

Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to provide this service. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and enable the device you are using to be recognized. This allows for an analysis of website usage, which helps improve their usability. It is generally not possible to identify you personally through this process.

The information generated in this way (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server. To protect your privacy, Google Analytics has been configured so that your IP address is anonymized immediately after it is transmitted to Google within member states of the European Union or other signatory states of the European Economic Area and is stored by Google exclusively in anonymized form (anonymizeIp=true). Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to analyze the use of our websites and to compile reports on website activity. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with any other data held by Google.

By using our websites, you consent to the storage of cookies and the processing of your personal data as described above. You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting the settings in your browser. In this case, however, you may not be able to use all website features to their full extent. You can also prevent the use of Google Analytics by installing the plug-in available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de . For more information about Google Analytics and the associated processing of personal data, please visit www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

Logging of Email Correspondence/Webmail:

To ensure adequate information and system security, as well as to detect and appropriately address malware, our email servers (including leased ones) generate log data regarding email traffic. When you send an email to or from our servers, the following data is logged: The recipient’s email address, IP address, and hostname; the number of recipients; the sender’s email address, IP address, and hostname; the subject line; the date and time the email was received by the server; the file names of any attachments; the message size; the risk classification regarding spam quality; and the delivery status. The screening of emails and filtering out of spam or malware is initially carried out entirely automatically; only in cases of suspicion or doubt are individual emails—if necessary, in consultation with the recipient—subjected to closer examination by personnel specifically designated for this purpose.

Data Security

We take all necessary and appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss and misuse. Your data is stored in a secure, state-of-the-art operating environment. Access to our websites is secured via HTTPS if your browser supports SSL. This means that communication between your device and our servers is encrypted. If you wish to contact us or our employees via email, please note that the confidentiality of the information transmitted cannot be guaranteed. Due to the technical nature of email, the content of emails may be viewed by third parties unless special technical security measures are taken. We therefore recommend that you transmit confidential information exclusively via the contact form or through other secure channels.

Your rights:

Pursuant to Article 13(2)(b) of the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data concerning you, to restrict processing, to object to processing, and to data portability.

In addition, pursuant to Article 13(2)(d) of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority regarding our processing of your personal data.

In order to exercise your rights, it may also be necessary—depending on the nature and scope of your request—for you to provide appropriate proof of your identity.

Pursuant to Article 15(3) of the GDPR, a fee is charged for information provided in response to repeated requests for information. Please also note that the right to receive a copy under Article 15(1)(b) of the GDPR must not infringe upon the rights and freedoms of others.

This Privacy Policy reflects the current legal situation. We expressly reserve the right to make future changes or amendments. We therefore recommend that you review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of personal data.
